Turned Pottery

I wanted to try my hand at mini pottery on a wheel but having neither wheel nor kiln I had to improvise. Below is a pic of my toy potters wheel, I got it from toys 'r us and it works pretty well. Yes, I know, it really needs cleaning, you should see the state my hands get in!

I tend to work lying on my belly on the floor, don't ask me why, I just do, so the foot pedal is mainly operated by my elbow. Well it was until I broke it and now it keeps turning till you shake the pedal upside down, quite handy really cause it means I don't have to keep pressing it!

As I said I also do not own a kiln, I'd love one but I don't really have the room, so I have to use air dry or oven bake clay.

This is fine for actually making the pots, I have a nice fine air dry clay that is perfect for turning with, unfortunately it crumbles to dust under very little pressure when it is dry. If anyone knows of any stronger air dry or oven bake clay then I'd love it if you Emailed me about it.

Anyway here's a few pics of the pots I've made so far, none of these have made it into the shop 'cause they are way too delicate.
